The Kentucky Landlord/Tenant Act (officially known as the Uniform Residential Landlord Tenant Act, or URLTA)

• As of 2026, the Kentucky Landlord/Tenant Act only applies in the following counties/cities: Jefferson, Fayette, Oldham, and Pulaski, Barbourville (Knox), Georgetown (Scott), Shelbyville (Shelby), Campbell, Kenton, and Boone (including Covington, Newport, Florence, Bellevue, and Dayton).
